About Sun Sounds

Sun Sounds of Arizona takes home a record-breaking six programming awards during the 2007 International Association of Audio Information Services Conference.

And the winner is…

Sun Sounds of Arizona set an all-new record at this year’s IAAIS conference in Jackson, Mississippi as the first radio reading and information service in the world to take home six programming awards in one year.

“We’re proud to accept these awards on behalf of all the volunteers who make our programming possible, says Bill Pasco, Director of Sun Sounds who also served as the keynote speaker of this year’s conference.

“It’s a great honor,” says Judy Bartelstone, a Sun Sounds volunteer who served as a narrator for The Wonderful World of Storytelling and Song with composer and musician, Sharon Ritt.

Sun Sounds of Arizona has won more awards than any other service of its kind in the world.  There are approximately 150 radio reading and information services that submit programs for IAAIS award consideration and Sun Sounds has won at least one first place award every year since 1998.
